Inspiring Reflections at the Scholars’ Dinner

Mayfield was delighted to welcome OC Caroline Quill (née Redman), Class of 1993, as the keynote speaker at this year’s Scholars’ Dinner, held in April.

In a thoughtful and inspiring address, Caroline shared her reflections on the importance of developing a growth mindset, drawing on her own personal and professional experiences. Her insights encouraged students to embrace challenges as opportunities for learning and to view setbacks as valuable stepping stones to success.

Caroline’s words highlighted the enduring value of perseverance, curiosity, and confidence - qualities that resonate strongly with the ethos of Mayfield and the aspirations of our scholars. Her engaging and honest reflections provided much food for thought and inspired all those in attendance to approach future opportunities with courage and determination.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of academia, sport, drama, music and the arts. Events such as the Scholars’ Dinner offer a valuable opportunity to from a former pupil whose journey continues to inspire the next generation.

We extend our sincere thanks to Caroline for taking the time to return to Mayfield and for sharing such meaningful and encouraging insights. Her contribution helped make the evening a memorable and inspiring occasion for our whole community.
