Mayfield Day Brings Community Together for a Memorable Celebration
Mayfield Day once again proved to be a wonderful celebration of community, achievement, and school spirit as pupils, families and staff, gathered in June for the school's annual Prize Giving and Sports Day.
The event brought together the entire Mayfield community to recognise students' accomplishments, celebrate sporting success, and reflect on another successful year. Throughout the day, students showcased their talent, determination, and enthusiasm, making the occasion one to remember.
A standout moment of the celebration was an inspiring address from Old Cornelian Libby Minoprio, Class of 2020, who has gone on to build an exciting career as PR & VIP Coordinator at Stella McCartney.
Libby shared valuable insights from her own journey, encouraging students to embrace opportunities, remain resilient in the face of challenges, and have the confidence to forge their own paths. Her key messages were simple yet powerful: be resilient, put yourself out there, ask your own questions, and enjoy the journey.
Libby's speech resonated strongly with students and staff alike, offering both practical advice and inspiration as the next generation prepares to embark on new adventures beyond Mayfield.
The school extends its sincere thanks to Libby for returning to share her experiences and for delivering such an uplifting and memorable message. Congratulations also go to all students whose hard work, achievements, and sporting excellence were celebrated throughout the day.
